Tetiana Raida

Deputy Editor-in-Chief

I was born in Kharkiv and graduated from the Faculty of History at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

Since 2001, I have worked on socio-political television projects in Kharkiv, including as head of news programs.

From 2010 to 2013, I worked in PR before returning to journalism in the autumn of 2013.

In 2014, I joined the team of the online publication GORDON as an editor, and in November of the same year became Deputy Editor-in-Chief. I have a strong interest in history, particularly in drawing parallels between the past and the present and exploring the causes and preconditions of historical events.

I believe that Ukraine should more actively present its culture to the world – including literature, music, visual art, and cinema. This is especially important today to help international audiences better understand who Ukrainians are, as global support depends in part on this understanding. Through my work, I try to contribute to this effort.

I also believe that how we raise children is extremely important. I am interested in educational approaches in different countries and try to adopt the best practices to pass on to the next generation. I enjoy theatre and ballet, exploring world cultures, and finding inspiration in them for both life and work.
