F-Drones unveils budget-friendly F-Captain drone with 100 km range 

The system combines precision strike capabilities with sufficient firepower to engage high-priority enemy targets. With a maximum takeoff weight of 27 kg and a wingspan of 3 meters, the drone can carry a payload of up to 10 kg.

The F-Captain is powered by a low-noise electric propulsion system and is equipped with both daylight and thermal imaging cameras, enabling reconnaissance and target acquisition around the clock.

"The F-Drones middle-strike system was specifically designed to operate in challenging electronic warfare environments. Thanks to our proprietary navigation and flight control software, the system can function without GPS signals and integrates seamlessly with radar systems, air defense assets, and GIS platforms. A secure communication channel supports Starlink connectivity as well as digital and analog video transmission. Even if communication is completely lost during the final stage of the mission, the onboard autonomous target recognition system and Last Mile module ensure a high-precision strike", – the company said.

F-Drones said the name "Captain" reflects the drone's role within what it describes as the military hierarchy of unmanned systems.

"FPV drones are the 'sergeants' of the front line. Heavy deep-strike platforms are the 'generals' operating deep behind enemy lines. Captain is the 'officer' responsible for controlling combat operations at the tactical depth. Conducting missions at distances of up to 100 km with standard FPV drones is inefficient, while using strategic deep-strike systems is economically and logistically impractical. Captain fills this gap by enabling systematic and precise strikes against enemy equipment and logistics", – F-Drones' post reads.
