At the Global Ukrainian Summit in Bern, Switzerland, the educational project "Know Your Ukraine" presented practical solutions for integrating Ukrainian culture and traditions into school curricula. This was reported by philanthropist and co-founder of the project Gnat Korobko.

"The educational project "Know Your Ukraine" presented its own developments and methodological materials at the Global Ukrainian Summit held in Bern. The initiative generated considerable interest among Ukrainian communities. Among the initiatives presented were the online project "Know Your Ukraine" and initiatives aimed at returning traditional folk games to the school environment. These are practical solutions for integrating Ukrainian culture, history, and traditions into the activities of Ukrainian schools around the world", – Korobko said.

According to him, the materials developed within the framework of the "Know Your Ukraine" project are structured and ready for use with children in various formats.

"Our project is highly valuable for the diaspora, as all materials have been developed by specialists, structured, and prepared for work with children in a wide variety of formats, from lectures to step-by-step workshops for use in Sunday schools. In the context of a fully digitalized world, our responsibility is to provide children with live and engaging tools for self-identification", – Korobko stated.

He noted that the project was launched in 2019 at the initiative of Olena Kryvenko, head of the Kolo charitable foundation. Following the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the project was suspended, but activities resumed in 2023.

"The project was presented by Olena Kryvenko, head of the Kolo charitable foundation and initiator of the "Know Your Ukraine" project. She initiated the project back in 2019 as a tool for preserving and transmitting traditions, but due to the war, its implementation was suspended, and we resumed work in 2023. During her speech, Olena also shared a personal story, noting that in 2022 she and her husband made the difficult decision to relocate their children abroad. This prompted her, as a mother, to seek effective tools for preserving their national identity in a different environment", – Korobko noted.
